We live in a sensationalized and multi-faceted world, one where politicians responsible for our health care mean the exact opposite of what they say, where something as simple as a televised furniture advertisement is loaded with fallacies, where journalists may let on more than what they’re supposed to.

As humans, we often take things at face value. We settle because it’s easier to accept what we already know, to aspire for heights we know we can achieve; we are the ignorant and chained prisoners in Plato’s Allegory of the Cave.

The purpose of my blog is to inspire, encourage, and emphasize the importance of critical thinking, of being active versus passive. Only then can we truly comprehend the world around us and thus make responsible decisions for both our and societal wellbeing.

Through my writing, I aspire to urge individuals of all ages to observe carefully, understand thoroughly, and question endlessly. Why? Because our world needs us.
